Gary was born on Oct.21, 1946 in Beebe, Ark. He passed away suddenly Nov. 27, 2012.
Gary was preceded in death by his father, Edwin Curtis Ramsey and step-grandson Jessie Coots, Jr.
Gary is survived by his wife Beverly Ramsey of Peachtree City, GA; daughter Michele Ramsey Walton (Big Time) & her husband Peter, of Newnan; mother Gladys L. Harvey; sister Janice Marie Ramsey (Doodie) of Senoia, GA; step-daughter Leane Gailey of Houston, Texas; stepson Jasen Armstrong & wife Amy of Grantville, GA; step-granddaughters Kailey, Olivia, Megan & Alice and step-grandson Gunner.
If you knew Gary, he was ecstatic to meet his first grandson Nolan, due to be born in December 2012 to Michele and Peter.
Gary was retired from Delta Airlines after 32 years and currently working at Adesa.
He served 4 years in the U.S. Navy and was awarded 5 medals, Medal of Good Conduct, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Gary was also a member of the Masons at the Englewood Lodge in Indianapolis, Ind. Gary loved his family and was dedicated to all Veterans.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Dec. 1, 2012 at 3:30pm at Carl J. Mowell & Son, Peachtree City with Charles T. Newby officiating.
Burial will immediately follow at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.
