Christmas Bazaar at Sharpsburg Baptist
Sharpsburg Baptist Church will host their old-fashioned Christmas Bazaar Saturday, Dec. 1 from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. The event will include a bake sale, homemade jams and jellies, woodworking, hand-crafted gifts of all kinds, gently used items, books, toys and much more.  A great place to Christmas Shop. Grief support at Fayette Presbyterian

Fayette Presbyterian Church is presenting a holidays version of their Grief Support Group on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 2 p.m.

“Surviving the Holidays” is a special one-session program produced by GriefShare, a Christ-centered grief support group program. Facing the holiday season after the loss of a loved one can be more difficult than your friends and even family members realize. Through video, group discussion and devotional material, you will be helped not only to survive the holidays but to find strength, healing, and tools to move forward in your daily walk through the deep pain of grief.
This special one day program will be held at Fayette Presbyterian Church located at 791 Forest Avenue (Hwy 92 N) in Fayetteville.  

Fayette Presbyterian Church also will offer its 13-week Grief Share program beginning in January 2013 for those who have ongoing grief over the loss of a loved one.

Grief program offered at Holy Trinity
A Special GriefShare Program,” Surviving the Holidays”…is being offered at  Holy Trinity Church, 101 Walt Banks Rd. in Peachtree City.  Coping with the holidays can be an especially difficult time when grieving the death of a loved  one.  Learn what to expect and how to find the strength to help yourself and  your family deal with grief.  A Holiday Devotional booklet will be provided.  Join us Wednesday evening, Nov. 14, 7-9 p.m in room #103 or Friday morning,  Nov. 16 in room #205 from 9:30-11:30 a.m.  For more information, contact Gayle  Reddy at 770-631-8251.  

Christmas Fair at St. Andrew’s Dec. 1
The St. Andrew’s Fine Art & Craft Christmas Fair, Saturday, Dec. 1, features over 20 juried vendors showing hand-smocked children’s clothing, art gourds,jewelry, hand made soaps and lotions, pottery, art glass, angel decor, fine art, textiles, wood sculpture, handmade chocolates and candies, and more. The fair is held in conjunction with the Episcopal Church Women’s (ECW) bazaar, bake sale and golden elephant. The fair is open 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the parish hall 316 N. Heritage Christian Invites Community to Tiny Tim’s Celebration of Giving
Heritage Christian Church in Fayetteville will host Tiny Tim’s Celebration of Giving, on Friday, Dec. 7. The evening will be highlighted by the “Christ is Come” Christmas Tour by Big Daddy Weave with Special Guest Mike’s Chair at 7 p.m. Tickets are available online at http://georgia.thejoyfm.com/events. The evening will also include a silent auction of fully decorated trees, centerpieces, wreaths and more. Proceeds from the auction and concert will benefit the Joseph Sam’s School in Fayetteville and New Life Children’s Home in Port Au Prince, Haiti. The auction will close Saturday evening, Dec. 8.

The community is invited to come and enjoy the sights and sounds of an authentic old English Victorian Village at the 11th annual Dickens Village, held nightly for two weekends, Nov. 30 -Dec. 2 and Dec. 7-9 from 6-9 p.m. Dickens Village is free of charge.

Movie night at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church invites all to a free movie night on Saturday, Nov. 10, at the new property at 411 Palmetto Road. Dolphin-themed games will begin at 5 p.m., with the movie to follow at 6:15 p.m. The 2011 feature film stars Harry Connick, Jr., and Morgan Freeman. Refreshments will be served. All are encouraged to wear warm clothing and bring lawn chairs.  

Second Chance Thrift Shop Sale, Brooks UMC Barbecue and Bake Sale
Get a jump on your holiday shopping on Friday, Nov. 16 and Saturday, Nov. 17, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Second Chance Thrift Shop’s huge clearance sale. Held at Brooks United Methodist Church, the sale includes items such as furniture, toys, clothing, and a variety of household items. All proceeds from the sale will go towards missions. Also, on Saturday the 17th only, the women of the church are having a bake sale and the men of the church are cooking up a barbecue lunch.
