An Oct. 12 bust in Newnan yielded approximately eight pounds of marijuana, nearly $20,000 in cash and a number of weapons.
Newnan residents Christopher Smith, 22, and Brittney-Lee Orourke, 19, were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, according to Coweta County Jail records.
Information obtained by Maj. James Yarbrough with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office indicated that approximately eight pounds of high-grade marijuana and nearly $20,000 in cash was discovered when officers executed a search warrant Oct. 12 at the Boone Drive residence on Newnan’s west side.
Also seized during the search were a number of handguns, shotguns and rifles, reports said.
