Mom to Mom meets Aug. 30
The Mom to Mom group will present “A Taste of Mom to Mom,” Thursday, Aug. 30, from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. at Dogwood Church, 975 Ga. Hwy. 74 North, Tyrone. The event will feature refreshments, coffee, entertainment and door prizes. To reserve childcare, email cbright@dogwoodchurch.org and include the child’s name, date of birth and a phone number. Carriage Lane to offer free ESL classes
ESL (English as a Second Language) classes for adults begin Friday, Sept. 7 at carriage Lane Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City and meet weekly through May 17, 2013. Students can join any time. Classes are held on Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Childcare is provided. Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA, is at 101 Carriage Lane, Peachtree City. Senoia UMC will host special service
Senoia United Methodist Church will host a special worship service on Sunday, Sept. 9, at 10:55 a.m., to honor members of the emergency services (fire services, EMS, etc.) and their families and to remember the sacrifices of those affected by the events of the Sept. 11 World Trade Center attack. There will be a time of prayer for those who serve the Senoia community in the same manner. All are invired to a covered dish dinner which will be served following the service.
