Colin James Sloan of Fayetteville, 22, passed away on July 19, 2012 from injuries sustained in a skateboarding accident.
He attended Whitewater High School and then graduated from the Howard School.
He is survived by his parents, John and Ellen Sloan of Fayetteville; brother, Austen (Elizabeth) Sloan of Temple, Ga.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the ICU Unit at Grady Memorial Hospital and those with Life Flight.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church. The burial will follow on Wednesday, July 25, 2011 at Garden Hills Cemetery in Opelika, Ala., at 11 a.m. (EST).

The family received friends on Monday, July 23, 2012 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville.
