Miss Renee Yvette Baker, of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away suddenly on May 23, 2012, at the age of 60.
Renee was a vivacious and adventurous person, who loved life and believed in living it to its fullest. She was generous and giving, and always willing to share what she had with others. Renee attended elementary school at Nathaniel Ely, Nathan Hale High, Norwalk High School in Connecticut and graduated from Quinnipaic College. She was a member of The Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
Renee was a dedicated employee of American Airlines for over thirty years. She loved working with passengers and making each one feel special. During her career with American, she worked in Los Angeles and Raleigh/Durham before relocating to Atlanta. It was then that she fell in love with Peachtree City and it became her home. She was a faithful member of the Body of Christ International Church in College Park.
Renee was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mae Baker; and sisters, Sharon Baker and Beverly Price. She is survived by her brother Theodore (Ted) Baker and his wife Cecelia of Atlanta; nieces & nephews Felita Rascoe, Theodore E. Baker, Jr., E’Dona R. Baker, Ashley Marie Baker, Chanel Burrell, Channing H. Clayton Baker, Avant H. Clayton Baker, John Price; her church family and her American Airlines family.
A Memorial Service will be held at her beloved church, The Body of Christ International, located at 3650 Flat Shoals Road, Atlanta, Ga. 30349, June 2, 2012 at 12 noon with Dr. Joseph M. Ripley, Sr. officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Body of Christ International.
