Members of the Jehovah Rapha Chapter of the International Order of St. Luke the Physician, based at the Cathedral of Christ the King in Sharpsburg, recently met with The Rev. John Rice, the Current OSL president and Region 3 director at Green Ginger Restaurant in Peachtree City.

Rice, who retired from the Episcopal Church prior to assuming full-time duties with OSL, shared his vision of OSL with the members of the chapter.

The International Order of St. Luke the Physician is an ecumenical organization dedicated to the Christian healing ministry. Members meet together in local chapters to study Scripture, especially the biblical stories of the healing miracles, as well as other books on Christian healing. Members also engage in healing prayer, often with the laying-on of hands.

Local members who met with Rice were Donna Turner, of Sharpsburg, Father Jim and Karen Taylor of Peachtree City, Gerhard and Bonnie Bar of Carrollton (all of Christ the King), Canon Paul and Dr. Judy Massey of Peachtree City (Church of the Holy Cross, Fayetteville), Diane Williams of Newnan (First Baptist Church, Newnan), Deacon Tony McGee of Newnan (Christ the King), and Bishop David Epps of Sharpsburg, pastor of Christ the King.
