Mrs. Carolyn Henson Conley, 90, of East Point, Ga. passed away on March 7, 2012 at her home.
Carolyn was born in College Park, Ga., and graduated from Alonzo Richardson High in College Park, Ga.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years James Carl Conley; the two were married on Christmas Eve, 1940.
She worked for Rich’s Department Store in their Warehouse Appliance Shipping Department. She was a long time member of Columbia Avenue Christian Church in College Park and recently of East Point Christian Church.
Mrs. Conley was one of 7 siblings. She is survived by her sister Juanita Orr Duckworth of Union City, Ga., and her brother Norris Henson of Dodge City, Kan. She is also survived by her two sons, James C. Conley and wife Margaret of Fayetteville, Ga., Bradford L. Conley and wife Ann of Sharpsburg, Ga.; three granddaughters, Melinda C. Justice and husband Mark of Kennesaw, Ga., Kristin C. Lamble and husband Alan of Walton, Kentucky, and Elisabeth Conley of Marietta, Ga.; three grandsons John Conley of Jacksonville, Fla., Michael C. Conley of Sharpsburg, Ga. and Pastor Stephen Conley and wife Shannon of Forest, Va.; and five great-grandchildren Garrett and Megan Justice of Kennesaw, Ga., and Esther, Jonas, and Isaac Conley of Forest, Va.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home in Fayetteville, Ga. with Pastor Stephen Conley and Reverend Hoyt Johnson officiating.
Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery, College Park, Ga.
The family received friends Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
