Presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will appear at a private fundraiser and a public rally Friday night at Falcon Field in Peachtree City, The Citizen has confirmed.
The Feb. 17 fundraiser will be held in the main lobby of the terminal from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

A public rally will take place immediately afterward in a privately owned hangar at Falcon Field.

The hangar location could not be disclosed by press time yesterday because the campaign is still working with the hangar owner, according to Gingrich spokesperson Susan Meyers.

A large crowd is anticipated for both events, as other campaign stops have generated people from the hundreds to the thousands, Meyers said.

Anyone wishing to participate in the VIP reception and fundraiser should bring a minimum donation of $500, and in return they will get a chance to have their picture taken and interact with Gingrich.

“Newt is very excited to come to the southside of Atlanta …. and is eager to meet supporters in Fayette County and Peachtree City,” Meyers said. “He knows there are a lot of good conservatives in Fayette County who support his position of reducing the size of government … and defeat Barack Obama this fall.”
