Bids to repair a stormwater drainage pond near Robinson and Ebenezer roads will be considered by the Peachtree City Council Thursday night.

The project involves repairing the concrete headwall, which is detached from the outlet pipe and the scour hole at the “toe” of the dam, according to a memo from City Engineer David Borkowski.

The low bidder on the project was Massana Construction from Tyrone at $69,000. The next highest bidder was Crawford Grading and Pipeline at $75,000.

In other business, council will consider a bid to replace the fence around the pools at the Kedron Aquatic Center.

The concrete surrounding some fence posts was damaged during the additional concrete work for the new bubble exterior anchoring system, Borkowski wrote in a memo to council.

Furthermore, concrete splattered on the fence posts, which will change the look of the aluminum when it is cleaned off, he added.

Bids were to be opened Tuesday with a recommendation coming to council for action Thursday night.
