Mr. Oscar B. (O.B.) Harper, a longtime resident of College Park, Ga., passed away Jan, 25, 2012 at the age of 91.
O.B. was a World War II veteran serving in the Army Infantry. After the war, he was employed by the United States Postal Service. He retired from the Post Office after many years of service.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Winnie Lucille Boling Harper and is survived by his son, Johnny Harper and his wife, Linda of Fayetteville; sister, Mattie Quick of Union City; brothers, Ernest Frank Harper of Palmetto; Charlie Harper of Zebulon; grandchildren, Brad and Kathy Harper; Angie and Brett Baker; great grandchildren, Anna, Lucas and Haley; many other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home Interment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park.
