Officers check drivers on Rockaway Road just south of Ga. Highway 74, one of the late night locations where Fayette County Sheriff’s deputies and Peachtree City Police conducted road checks on New Year’s Eve and into New Year’s Day. Another road check on Helmer Road in north Fayette and concentrated enforcement all along Hwy. 74 resulted in five arrests for suspended licenses, no licenses and possession of marijuana along with 21 citations and 19 warnings.
