Mr. Donald Stuart Tuel, 79, of Fayetteville, passed away on Dec. 27, 2011.
Mr. Tuel was a proud veteran, who served his country in the US Air Force. Following his military career, he joined Piedmont Airlines in 1962, which later became US Airways.
He was a lead mechanic and retired with 35 years of service He was also the flight engineer for Atlanta Skylarks Travel Club.
He loved working on aircraft and fishing. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh but above everything else, his family was his first priority.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Rebecca Tuel; daughter, Donna Kimble and her husband Terry of Grayson, Ga.; sons, Tim Tuel of Fayetteville, and Stephen Tuel and his wife Nida of Savannah; grandchildren, Heather, Stuart, Ashley, Joshua and Rebecca; great-grandchildren, Brianna and Madison; several nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held for his family. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Drive, Suite 3, Peachtree City, Ga. 30269.
