Wirt Epling, 53, of Peachtree City, passed away Dec. 11, 2011, surrounded by his loving family.
Wirt was the beloved husband of Lisa Epling for 27 years. Wirt leaves behind his children, Clayton Wirt Epling and Sarah Katherine Epling.
Wirt is survived by his mother, Ruth Epling, brothers Jimmy Epling and Allen Epling (Gwen), sister, Tammy Wilkins (Bobby).
Wirt is preceded in death by his father, Wirt Epling, Sr.
Wirt was employed with the Federal Aviation Administration for 25 years. He loved his family, was an avid runner, was a graduate of Auburn University and a life-long fan of the Auburn Tigers.
The Memorial Service will be held Friday, Dec. 16, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Providence UMC in Fayetteville, Rev. Warren Huddleston officiating.
The family will receive friends at the family home after the memorial service.
