St. Paul Lutheran announces Advent services
Christmas mid-week Advent services at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Prachtree City are planned for Nov. 30 amd Dec. 7 (Wednesdays) at 5 and 7 p.m. Dinner will be served at 6 p.m. On Wednesday, Dec. 14. Advent worship will be combined with the Children’s Christmas Program at 7 p.m. No dinner will be served on the 14th. St. Paul is on Ardenlee Parkway in Peachtree City.

COS Advent services begin tonight
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church will offer mid-week Advent services on Nov. 30, Dec. 7 and Dec. 14, from 7-7:30 p.m. “Taking the Story of Christmas Home” is the theme. According to associate pastor Miriam Beecher, “Each worship service will have a multi-sensory creative touch.” Some of the traditions and practices to be explored are Christmas trees, wreaths, cards, lights and candy canes. The Shepherd’s Band and Logos Ringers will provide music. Christ Our Shepherd is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway.

FFUMC’s Advent study starts tonight
Pastor Mark Westmoreland will offer a three-week Wednesday night Advent study each Wednesday from 6:15 – 7:15 p.m. beginning tonight, Nov. 30, at Fayetteville First UMC. The only materials needed are you and your Bible. Contact Kristin Heiden to register, kheiden@fayettevillefirst.com.

St. Andrew’s annual fine arts fair coming up
St. Andrew’s in the Pines will host its Fine Art and Christmas Fair and ECW Golden Elephant and Bake Sale Saturday, Dec. 3, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Parish Hall. 316 Peachtree Pkwy N., Peachtree City.The event will feature juried fine art and crafts including glass art, fine art, textiles, local honey, jewelery, hand-made cards, sweets, Christmas ornaments, rustic birdhouses and more. Woolsey Baptist will present musical
The Celebration Choir and Drama Team of Woolsey Baptist Church will present, “Merry Christmas to You, A Musical Christmas Card,” on Sunday, Dec. 4, in both the 8:15 and 10:45 a.m. services.  “Merry Christmas to You” is by Keith Ferguson and Bruce Greer, and is arranged and orchestrated by Bruce Greer. The public is invited. Childcare will be provided. CDM to host prophetic service
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM) will host a Prophet Chambers Prophetic Service on Sunday, Dec. 4, at 6 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier.  The service will be a time of individual personal ministry and releasing of the gifts of the spirit. Blue Christmas Service set for Dec. 5
Christ Our Shepherd’s annual Blue Christmas Service will take place Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. Built around the theme “Lo, How a Rose E’er Blooming,” the service of hope is for everyone, but especially for those who find the holidays lonely, stressful, or sad. The Christ Our Shepherd Flute Choir will anchor the service musically. COS is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

Leave toys, food, clothing at CCC
Community Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) 349 Kenwood Rd., Fayetteville, is a drop off point for Toys for Tots, non-perishable food and paper goods for Fayette Samaritans and is collecting coats and sweaters for the needy.  Donors are asked to call in advance (770-460-9745) before dropping off any items to the church.  

Walk Through Bethlehem set for Dec. 11
Fayetteville First United Methodist Church will host its annual Walk Through Bethlehem this year on Sunday, Dec. 11, from 9:45-10:40 a..m. Visitors will meet the shepherds, talk with an innkeeper, and visit a shopkeeper while searching for Baby Jesus. Families will meet in the Youth Center at 9:45 a.m. to begin the journey. FFUMC is across the street from the old Fayette County Courthouse in downtown Fayetteville.

NHBC will present ‘Messiah’ Dec. 18
The National Heights Sanctuary Choir and Friends will present the Christmas portion of Handel’s ‘Messiah’ on Sunday evening, Dec. 18 at 6 p.m.  The community is welcomed to attend this free sacred music Christmas program..  A nursery will be provided and a reception will follow the service.  National Heights Baptist Church is at the corner of Ga.
