Tigers and Patriots pick up region football wins

Fayette County picked up their first win of the season, 35-7 over McIntosh while Starr’s Mill lost to Northgate 41-21 and Sandy Creek beat Spalding 48-0. Final scores for other games involving local teams weren’t in at the time this story was written, but the locals were all trailing their region opponents.

Eagle’s Landing Christian Academy beat Our Lady of Mercy 52-7. Landmark Christian dropped their second game in a row, losing to First Presbyterian 31-21. East Coweta hung with Stephenson, keeping their offense in check, but lost 24-17. Newnan did not slow down M.L. King and lost 41-17.
