Stolen vehicle case leads to drug arrests

An investigation into a stolen vehicle netted two arrests for illegal narcotic activity Oct. 8, according to investigators from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

The investigation led to a search warrant being executed at a home on LaFayette drive in north Fayette County where a stolen vehicle was located, officials said. While searching the home, drug violations were discovered, investigators said.

Corean Virginia Coleman, 47, of Fayetteville was arrested for theft by receiving a stolen vehicle, giving a false name to law enforcement officers and possession of marijuana (less than one ounce). Kayla B. Davis, 21, of Fayetteville was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of marijuana (less than one ounce).
