As always, motorists should expect some traffic delays associated with the Great Georgia Air Show today and tomorrow at Falcon Field airport in the Peachtree City industrial park.
The heaviest traffic is expected along Dividend Drive and Ga. Highway 74 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., police said.
Motorists should be aware of golf cart traffic in particular, as carts will be using Dividend Drive both days and also crossing Ga. Highway 74, where police officers will be directing traffic.
No parking will be allowed on the shoulder or roadway of Dividend Drive, and all motorists must park in areas or lots clearly marked for airshow parking.
Handicapped parking, motorcycle parking, and golf cart parking is available at Falcon Field. However, the majority of the motorists should expect to use satellite parking lots located at Cooper Lighting and Starr’s Mill School Complex.
Transportation between these sites and the airshow is being provided by buses from the Fayette County Board of Education.
