It’s that time again. And, as usual, Senoia will be packed on Sept. 24 with an endless variety of vintage vehicles arriving for the 7th Annual Cruisin’ to the Oldies Car Show. The car show on Main Street will run from 11 a.m. until 5 p.m. and will feature live music and plenty of food.

Senoia Downtown Development Authority Chairman Suzanne Helfman commenting on this year’s event said it is expected to feature at least 250 cars. The car show this year is limiting entries to those vehicles from 1986 or older, Helfman added.

The annual event is one that draws thousands to the city. This year is expected to be no exception.

Entertainment at the event will include the “Sock Hops” playing from noon until 3 p.m. The group is known for performing music extending from doo-wop to Motown, swing to beach, stroll to shag and twist to Top 40, Helfman said.

And when it comes to food, Helfman said the Varsity will be back again this year cooking their all-time favorites. Other food offerings will include Churn ‘N Scoop homemade ice cream, kettle corn, cotton candy, Hawaiian shaved ice and barbecue.

In addition, Senoia’s downtown merchants and restaurants will be open all day.

The event will also feature door prizes and 50/50 drawings.

Cruisin’ to the Oldies is sponsored by the Senoia Downtown Development Authority.
