North Augusta, S.C. — Graveside Services for Mrs. Hettie Putt Lawson, 88, of North Augusta, S.C., who entered into rest Sept. 1, 2011, was conducted Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011, at 10 a.m. in Westover Memorial Park. Chaplain Dexter Lambert officiating.

Mrs. Lawson was a native of Baldwyn, Miss., a former resident of Peachtree City, Ga., having made North Augusta, S.C. her recent home. She was a member of the Peachtree City Christian Church, the Messenger Sunday School Class, the Dorcas Women’s Circle and a homemaker. Mrs. Lawson was the “Proud Army Wife” of the late CWO James W. Lawson, Sr.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, James and Donna Lawson, North Augusta; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lynn and Bill Horton, Peachtree City, Ga. and Deborah and John Jahera, Auburn, Ala.; a sister, Sara Martin, Sacramento, Calif.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family received friends at the graveside following the service.
