0A former Peachtree City resident died over the weekend in what is believed to be a drowning at Lake Sinclair Monday.
Tyler Harris, 24, was a rookie officer with the University of Georgia Police Department, according to several news accounts of the incident.
Harris was a graduate of McIntosh High School and held an associates degree in criminal justice from Gainesville State College.
A celebration of life service has been planned for Sunday, Sept. 11 from 3-6 p.m. at Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City. In lieu of flowers, the family asks friends to consider donations to the Kassinger Scholarship Award, online at https://www.externalaffairs.uga.edu/os/simple?account=30790020.
