Mr. Lester “Les” Edward Swanson, age 83, of Fayetteville (formerly of Chicago, Ill. and Kingston, Mass.) passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2011.

Mr. Swanson served in the U.S. Army and was in the 4025 Signal Corp. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Bell Swanson; daughters, Christine Werner and her husband, Stephen of Plymouth, Mass.; Donna Paradise and her husband, Michael of Tyrone; son, Lester Swanson and his wife, Ruthann of Richardson, Texas; grandchildren, Mark Swanson; Edward Howland and Sean Paradise.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, Aug.16, 2011, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Minister Billy Beard officiating. Those wishing may send an online condolence at www.parrottfuneralhome.com.
