TLCM plans revival Aug. 17-19
True Love Christian Ministries will hold a Summer Revival Wednesday through Friday, Aug. 17-19, at 7:15 p.m. nightly. The guest preachers for the revival are the Rev. Melvin Ware and First Lady, the Rev. J. T. Ware, of Mount Olive Baptist Church. True Love and Mount Olive are both leadership churches in the Fellowship of Christian Churches and Friends (FCCF) based in Fayette County. True Love is at 192 Graves Rd., Fayetteville. The senior pastor at True Love is Elder Nathaniel Livingston.

New church meets on Friday nights
Gospel Community Church is a new church now meeting in the Harvest Christian Community Center on Friday Nights at 7:30. The lead pastor is Kirk McDonald and the congregation is presently composed of 15 families.

Nativity continues new service schedule
The Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Fayetteville, which began having a single service at 10 a.m. each Sunday early in the summer, will continue on that schedule for the rest of this calendar year. The church had originally planned to return to two Sunday services beginning this month but decided to stick with the present arrangement because it has been well received by members and also has enabled the parish to reduce costs for utilities. Sunday school classes will resume Sept. 11.

Holy Trinity will begin GriefShare Aug. 17
GriefShare, a Christian-based 13-week video/discussion grief recovery group, is being offered at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 101 Walt Banks Rd., Peachtree City. Each session is self-contained and one is welcome to begin attending at any session. Sessions will be offered beginning Wednesday, Aug. 17 from 7-9 p.m. and on Friday, Aug. 19, from 9:30-11:30 a.m. For more information contact Gayle Reddy, 770-631-8251.

PTCUMC starts Divorce Care Aug. 17
Divorce Care at Peachtree City United Methodist Church will begin a 14-week seminar and support group on Wednesday, Aug. 17 for people who are separated or divorced. The sessions will continue through Nov. 16. The group will meet each Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at 225 Robinson Rd., Room 300, in Peachtree City. Brooks thrift store plans tent sale
The Second Chance Thrift Shop in Brooks is having a huge Tent Sale on Friday, Aug. 19 and Saturday, Aug. 20 at the shop. All clothing and shoes will be half off. In addition, larger items such as furniture will be for sale. The Second Chance Thrift Shop is at 151 McIntosh Road, Brooks, which is just east of the post office. Prophet Chambers Training seminar planned
Christ Discipleship Ministries, 114 W. Campbellton St., Fairburn, will host a seminar titled Prophet Chambers Training Saturday, Aug. 20, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier. The training is for those who feel called to the office of the prophet or for those who want to understand the role of the prophet in the 21st Century. COS starts new program year
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church announces a new program year this week. Sunday School and Adult Christian Education resume at 9:40 a.m. Aug. 21 . The Family Resource Center at The Summit Presbyterian Church will once again offer free tutoring for elementary and high school students beginning Aug. 24.
