Coweta’s Christ the King church recognizes 2011 graduates

The congregation of Christ the King Church in Sharpsburg recognized the 2011 college and high school graduates during the Sunday morning service on Aug. 7.

Kimberley Bond of Newnan received her bachelor of arts degree (summa cum laude) with a major in organizational psychology and development from American Intercontinental University. Bond, who works for Delta Air Lines, plans to pursue a master’s degree.

Joseph Thompson of Newnan graduated with honors from East Coweta High School earning enough Advanced Placement credits to enter Georgia State University with 16 semester hours already completed. At GSU, he will major in economics and German.

Kyle Benson of Fayetteville is a homeschool high school graduate who will enter Covenant College and major in biology. He is currently active in the Civil Air Patrol where he hopes to soon be promoted to Cadet Lt. Colonel.

Also graduating from high school was Gabe Otero of Newnan who was unable to be present.

Father David Epps, rector of Christ the King, presented each graduate with a gift from the congregation.
