Richard (Rick) Deraney, 26, of Fayetteville, passed away on August 9, 2011.
He was preceded in death by his father, Richard Derany, Sr., paternal grandfather Joseph A. Deraney, Sr., maternal grandparents Hugo and Irene DeVaughn.
He is survived by his mother Virginia (Ginger) Deraney of Fayetteville; brothers, Christopher J. Deraney of Jonesboro and John (Brittany) Deraney of Newnan; niece Peyton Elizabeth Deraney of Newnan; and paternal grandmother Mable Deraney of Barnesville.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the First Assembly of God Church in Griffin. Reverend Randy Valimont and Reverend Greg Marsh will officiate. The burial will follow at Greenwoood Cemetery in Barnesville, GA. The family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2011 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville, GA.
