A Fayetteville nurse is a two-time lottery winner. She recently won a healthy Georgia Lottery prize. Esther Kelechi, 50, won $10,000 from the latest monthly Extra Chance Maximum Green drawing.

She won $1 million from another instant game in 2008.

“I was shocked,” Kelechi said of her most recent win. “I was working out when I got the call.”

Winning feels awesome, she said.

“I’m going to pay fall tuition for my son who is at the University of Hawaii,” she said.

Since moving to Georgia from Hawaii five years ago, Kelechi said the lottery has been good to her.

She and her husband, Kenyatta, have saved their $1 million win for retirement.

Maximum Green is an instant game with $5 million top prizes. Georgia Lottery players can enter non-winning Maximum Green instant tickets into monthly Extra Chance drawings for a chance at 10 $10,000 prizes.
