Anna Elizabeth Van Horn, 9, of Peachtree City, GA was involved in a tragic accident on June 3, 2011 that sent her to Heaven.

Anna was a very beautiful, outgoing and intelligent girl with an “old soul.” She loved animals, art, music, and to ride horses. Justin Bieber and Bon Jovi are among her favorite musicians. She adopted Phoenix, a right whale from the New England Aquarium. Anna was taking guitar lessons and preparing to audition for chorus. She loved the environment and participated in the “Green Team” at Braelinn Elementary School in Peachtree City.

She is survived by her parents, Norm and Karen Van Horn of Peachtree City, GA; grandparents, Roy and Betty Jean Clements of Swainsboro, GA; grandparents, Norman and Ellen Van Horn of Somerdale, NJ; grandparents, Judy and Joseph Walko of Gloucester City, NJ; brother, Joshua and Elissa Van Horn of Fort Bragg, NC; aunt, Kristie Clements of Suwanee, GA; uncle, Roy and Jackie Clements, Jr. of Cedar Crossing, GA; and cousins, Elliot Brim, Simon Brim Oliver Brim, Alex Pekich, Jake Clements, Jackson Clements, and Nathan Clements; uncles, Joe and Jason Walko; aunts, Barbara Van Horn, Katie and Robin Walko.

Funeral services will be held in Peachtree City, GA at 5:00 pm on Thursday, June 9, 2011 at First Baptist Church Peachtree City. The family will receive friends at the church on Thursday from 2:00 – 5:00 pm. The Rev. Jim Garner will officiate.

Funeral Services will be held in Swainsboro, GA on Friday, June 10, 2011 at 2:00 pm at First Baptist Church Swainsboro. The family will receive friends at the church on Friday from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Interment will follow at Eastbrook Cemetery in Swainsboro, GA.

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Anna’s name to Braelinn Elementary School, 975 Robinson Rd., Peachtree City, GA 30269, write Anna Van Horn Memorial on the memo line. The memorial is established to help provide a gazebo to shade the play area, and plant trees, etc. at the Braelinn Elementery School.
