Stephan Curcio, of Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty, was named the Fayette County Board of REALTORS, 2011 REALTOR of the Year. The award was presented at the Board’s annual Spring Luncheon held Thursday, March 24 at Glendalough Manor in Tyrone.
The prestigious and highly regarded award is presented annually to the REALTOR member representing “the best of us.”
Curcio has been an actively involved and contributing member of the Board since 2007. His contributions and qualifications were reviewed and voted on by the Board’s Awards Committee. All nominees were evaluated on REALTOR Spirit, Civic Activity, Business Accomplishments, Board Activity, as well as State and National Association Activity. The REALTOR with the highest overall percentage is named REALTOR of the Year.
Presenting the award was 2010 recipient, Martin Wise of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate – Metro Brokers. Other nominees were Michelle Johnson and Patty Tarver of Harry Norman, REALTORS“ along with Stephen Walker of Prudential Georgia Realty in Peachtree City.
Curcio will go on to represent our Board at the GAR Convention and Trade Expo to be held this September in Memphis, Tenn. to compete for the statewide honor.

The Fayette County Board of REALTORS is a voluntary professional association of approximately 400 licensed real estate brokers and salespersons engaged in all aspects of the real estate business throughout the county and surrounding areas. FCBR is the local advocate for the real estate industry in Fayette county, committed to protecting private property rights and free enterprise, maintaining ethical and professional standards, and enhancing the public’s awareness and confidence in REALTORS.
Eric Slepian was named FCBR’s 2010 Affiliate of the Year.
“I am humbled and honored to have received this prestigious award from the Fayette County Board of Realtors, an organization that is so close to my heart,” said Slepian. “I am proud to be affiliated with such an esteemed and professional association.”
Tricia Mahoney was presented with FCBR’s 2010 Good Neighbor Award.
“It is a great honor to be recognized by my peers, whom I respect and have worked with for so long,” said Mahoney. “The farmers market is one of the most rewarding projects as it focuses on our very basic need of healthy food, promotes the importance of buying local, and the joy of community interaction.”
