A conference on healing will take place Friday, March 4, and Saturday, March 5 in the sanctuary of Christ the King Church, 4881 Ga. Hwy. 34 E, Sharpsburg. The cost is $10 per person or $15 per couple.

Sponsored by the Jehovah Rapha Chapter of the International Order of St. Luke the Physician (OSL), the conference is titled, “The Freedom from Generational Curses Conference.”

“When people struggle with habitual problems similar to their parents or grandparents, it may mean that they are under a generational curse,” says Bonnie Bar, OSL Chapter Leader. “Sinful habits and diseases can be passed on for several generations. The father may be an alcoholic; the son then despises alcohol but expresses the addictive behavior by becoming a workaholic instead. Many of God’s people can be held in bondage to an assortment of negative behaviors that continue through the generations. The good news is that we do not have stay this way.”

The featured speaker will be Fr. William McLoughlin of Asheville, N.C., pastor of Church of the Resurrection CEC, Asheville. In addition to his duties as rector of the parish, McLoughlin serves as archdeacon for the Diocese of the Carolinas, and as curriculum coordinator for Saint Michael’s Seminary.

Babysitting services are available for the conference. Registration and reservations for childcare must be made prior to March 2 by email or by calling Bonnie Bar, 770-834-4928, [email protected] or Chaplain Tony McGee, 678-416-0024, or [email protected].
