Edgefield will host Valentine dinner
The Edgefield Church Family invites the entire community to join them on Saturday, Feb. 12, at 6 p.m. for their “Taste of Italy” Valentine Dinner in the George Porter Fellowship Hall. Admission is $30 for couples and $15 for singles. The event will feature live music and great fellowship. Edgefield is at 140 Church St. in downtown Fayetteville. Woolsey welcomes ‘The Old Paths’ Sunday
The Old Paths, a gospel group ranging in age from 21-42, will be in concert Sunday, Feb. 13, at 6 p.m. at Woolsey Baptist Church, 115 Hampton Road in Fayetteville. CDM plans seminar Feb. 12
Christ Discipleship Ministries (CDM) will host a seminar titled Prophet Chambers Training Saturday, Feb. 12, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. The speaker will be Prophet Timothy Frazier. The training is for those who feel called to the office of the prophet and for those who want to understand the role of the prophet in the 21st Century. No nursery or childcare will be provided. Bethany moves to Parrott’s temporarily
Because of the filming of a movie at the church, Bethany United Methodist Church will hold services at Parrott’s Funeral Home chapel through Feb. 20. Services are expected to resume at the church on Feb. 27. Choir rehearsal will be suspended until after the filming. The movie, “Joyful Noise,” will star Dolly Parton, Queen Latifah, and Kris Kristoferson. Projected release date is January 2012.

PTCUMC Troop 175 invites Boy Scouts
Boy Scout Troop 175, sponsored by Peachtree City United Methodist Church, is now accepting applications for new scouts for 2011. Troop 175 is a large, very active troop with a 12 month program of weekly meetings and monthly outings. Meetings are on Monday nights at 7:30 p.m. at the Scout Lodge, a realized vision of Troop 175’s adult leadership. Project Linus schedules meetings
The Fayette County “Project Linus” group will meet at Community Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), 349 Kenwood Rd., Fayetteville, on the third Wednesday of each month from noon until 3 p.m., and on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m. until noon.
