A new Wendy’s restaurant has been approved by the Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission at the site of the former Wachovia Bank on the northwest corner of Ga. Highway 85 and Pavilion Parkway.
The commission’s approval last week calls for the old Wachovia Bank building to be demolished. In its place will be a 3,000 square-foot restaurant building located across the parking lot from the Home Depot.
City Senior Planner Linwood Robinson said development plans call for an exterior of brick veneer, stucco and painted metal trim materials for the 77-seat restaurant. Cultured stone column base accents, accent lighting, a copper metal roof, vinyl fabric awnings and a low wattage florescent light band will complete the exterior design, said Robinson.
