10:10 p.m. – It all comes down to this drive. Chattahoochee on Panther 40 with 10 minutes to go. If they get any points, a comeback is very improbable. And while I was writing this, Cougars get first down at Panther 17.
10:01 – Chattahoochee has the ball on their own 18 with 1:05 left in the third quarter. If they drive 82 yards for a touchdown, this one is over.
9:55 p.m. – 2nd and 1 became 3rd and 16 after offensive pass interference called. Panthers punt and Cougars get it at their own 28 with 3:55 left in third quarter. How about a turnover?
9:44 p.m. – Chattahoochee goes 80 yards in four and a half minutes, scores on a one yard run. 17-0.
9:38 p.m. – What do you think people watching at home, was that a Cougar fumble?
9:06 p.m. – 43 yd field goal attempt from Ryan Nowicki falls short. Still 10-0, Cougars look like they think that’s good enough for the first half.
9::00 p.m. – Things looking better, Jeff Greene has huge first down catch and Laskey rushes for another first down. Panthers on Cougar 20. 3:08 left in half.
8:56 p.m. – Finally. Starr’s Mill stops Cougars on third down, forces punt. Panthers on own 26 with five minutes to go.
8:53 p.m. – Panthers can’t get anything going. Three and out.
8:48 p.m. That stings. Chattahoochee puts together 99 yard drive that eats up nearly seven minutes. Up 10-0. 8:25 left in half.
8:45 p.m. – Panthers having trouble stopping Chattahoochee. Cougars are 3 for 3 on 3rd down.
8:27 p.m. Chattahoochee’s Ammon Lakip kicks a 57 yard field goal. Cougars lead 3-0.
8:20 p.m. Starr’s Mill receives, but goes 3 and out. Chattahoochee starts on own 37.
7:54 p.m. Calhoun rallied in the Class AA final against Buford but fell short in overtime. The result is a later kickoff for Starr’s Mill and Chattahoochee. Look for a start around 8:15 p.m.
