0Ellie Mae McElroy, born June 8, 1914, went to be with the Lord December 9, 2010 at the age of 96.
She is preceded in death by her husband Henry McElroy, Sr., grandson Dennis McElroy, granddaughter Nicki McElroy and all her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by sons Hugh McElroy, Jr. and Julia McElroy, Perry Davis McElroy and Barbara McElroy, daughter Dot Sanders and Charles Sanders, eight grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren and two nieces living in California.
Mae was a long-time member of Fayetteville Baptist Church. She was an angel on earth and heaven is now a better place. Visitation Friday Dec. 10th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Mowell’s Funeral Home, Fayetteville. Funeral services will be at Mowell’s Chapel on Saturday, Dec. 11 at 11:00 am, burial at Riverdale Baptist Church .
