On Sat Dec. 4, the Holliday-Dorsey-Fife Museum hosts their annual open house (free admission) and will host a special Christmas Story Reading at 11 a.m. This will be a selected story from local author Robert Burch and will last about 15 – 20 minutes.

Throughout that day, visitors can enjoy the Victorian Christmas theme of the house festooned in holiday décor that was typical from 1860 to 1890. The indoor tree will be decorated with hand made ornaments.

A small exhibit of vintage toys is featured and holiday greenery throughout the house all creates a festive experience.

From 12-3 p.m., children will be able to make a customized tree ornament. This year features a non-edible gingerman that the children can decorate and take home to add to the beauty and memories of their own trees.

The Holliday-Dorsey-Fife Museum is located one block west of the square in Downtown Fayetteville.
