It is not everyday that a community gets two new doctors. And it is certainly not the case that the two are married. But that was the case recently when Dr. Norris Payne and Dr. Margaret Payne began their practice at Piedmont Physicians Pediatrics at Oak Hill in Newnan.
“It gives us great pleasure to welcome the Paynes to the Piedmont family,” said Berney Crane, CEO of Piedmont Medical Care Corporation. “Doctors Payne come to our community with many years of experience serving the health care needs of young patients.”
Piedmont Healthcare spokesperson Jim Taylor said patients will find the Paynes to be quite accessible both in and out of the office.
“Although they have only been in town for a short time, they have already managed to establish their ‘digital’ roots,” Taylor said. “In addition to a blog established for their practice, both doctors take time each day to interact with their new community on Facebook and other social media platforms, where they share news and health tips relevant to their patients.”
Dr. Norris Payne earned his medical degree at Southwestern Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Center in Dallas, Texas. He completed a pediatric internship and residency at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta and a pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
Dr. Margaret Payne also earned her medical degree at Southwestern Medical School, University of Texas Health Science Center. She, too, completed her pediatric internship at the Medical College of Georgia and her pediatric residency at Baylor College of Medicine.
Taylor said both doctors are certified with the American Board of Pediatrics and are currently seeing new patients.
