Holy Trinity starts GriefShare tonight
Griefshare, a 13-week Christian video/discussion support group for those who have lost a loved one, will be offered at Holy Trinity Church in Peachtree City beginning Wednesday, evening, Sept. 8 and Friday morning, Sept. 10. Each GriefShare session is self-contained so one can begin attending at any time. Free adult ESL classes offered in PTC
Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church, PCA, in Peachtree City will offer English as a Second Language (ESL) classes for adults beginning Friday, Sept. 10 and Sunday, Sept. 12. Classes will meet weekly through mid-May 2011. Students may join at any time. Class times are Fridays from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and Sundays from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with childcare available for Friday classes only. The church is at 101 Carriage Lane, Peachtree City. Tribute gospel group to perform Friday
The Nashville-based Tribute Quartet, a Southern Gospel group, will perform at Line Creek Baptist Church in Coweta County this Friday at 7:30 p.m. The award-winning group was named by readers of The singing News Magazine’ as “2008 Breakthrough Artist of theYear” and later “The 2008 Horizon Group of the Year.” Line Creek is at 1488 Bob Smith Rd., just off Lower Fayetteville Road between Fischer Road and Ga. Nativity makes plans for Pet Fair
The Episcopal Church of the Nativity is making plans for the second annual Blessing of the Animals and Pet Fair in downtown Fayetteville by the Gazebo on Saturday, Oct. 2, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. with the blessing starting at 4 p.m. There will be pony rides, face painting, a clown, animal demonstrations and contests, food, a mini-petting zoo and much more. Pets of all kinds are welcome, however, they must be on a leash, in a carrying case or hand carried. All proceeds benefit the Fayette County Humane society.
