Flint Ridge revival starts tonight
Flint Ridge Baptist Church will hold its Revival Wednesday-Friday, Aug. 18-20 at 7 p.m. each night. The senior pastor at Flint Ridge is the Rev. Jerome Drakeford. The guest preachers for the revival are: Wednesday, the Rev. Roosevelt Loveless of Grace Baptist Church in Morrow; Thursday (Youth Night), Minister Walter Kearse of Beulah Land Bible Church in Warner Robins; and Friday, the Rev. Carlton Huff, pastor of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Riverdale. Flint Ridge is in northeast Fayette County at 104 Old Rd., just off of Ga. Highway 85. Revival planned at Bethlehem
Bethlehem’s revival is Wednesday-Friday, Aug. 18-20, at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Ed Cochran, pastor of Floyd Chapel in Stockbridge, is the guest speaker. Bethlehem is in Peachtree City at 475 Dividend Dr., near the entrance to Falcon Field. For more information contact the church, 770-631-0267.

Upward flag football deadline is Friday
McDonough Road Baptist Church invites children kindergarten age through eighth grade to register for Upward Flag football and cheerleading. Cost is $80 for flag football and $80 for cheerleading. Registration forms and fees may be dropped off at the church office between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, and the deadline is Aug. 20. Practices begin Monday, Aug. 28, and the first games are Saturday, Oct. 23. Call 770-460-5423 for more information. Jesus Feast continues through Sept. 18
The Jesus Feast, a project conceived by two Christian business women from Fayette County, started Aug. 10 and will continue through Sept. 18. Jesus Feast is a plan which invites individuals to spend 40 days focusing on Jesus, ending on The Day of Atonement, Saturday, Sept. 18. Local radio station J93.3 will read one miracle each day at 2:40 p.m. The project will conclude with a community service at the Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville on the final day, Sept. 18. PTCUMC starts GriefShare Aug. 19
Peachtree City United Methodist Church will begin a new session of GriefShare Aug 19. The class meets each Thursday night from 6:30 – 8 p.m. in room 308 at 225 Robinson Road. Weekly videos give information from experts in the field of grief counseling. All facilitators have experienced the loss of a loved one and can identify with the emotions that result from the grief process.
