Dana Lynn Armstrong and Joshua Lee Hixson were married at Morris Hill Baptist Church in Chattanooga, Tenn., on May 1, 2010. The Rev. Bill Mason of Chattanooga conducted the wedding.
The bride is the daughter of Ray Armstrong of Peachtree City and Kathy H. Armstrong of Hilton Head Island, S.C. She is a 1995 graduate of Fayette County High School and has her bachelor’s from Georgia Southern University. She is an account representative for Coyne Textile Services.
The groom is the son of Jim Hixson of Hixson, Tenn. and Christine B. Hixson of Chattanooga, Tenn. A graduate of Tyner High School in Chattanooga, he works for Kenworthy Hardwood Floors.
Ginger Holland of Cleveland, Tenn., served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathleen Greeson of Signal Mountain; Malissa Hogan of Acworth; Jennie Parham of Ringgold; and Leigh Ann Black of Chattanooga. The flower princess was Grace Hixson of Chattanooga, the groom’s neice.
Rusty Hanks of Chattanooga served as best man. Groomsmen were the groom’s father, Jim Hixson; the groom’s brother, Jamie Hixson of Chattanooga; Stephen St. Clair of Cleveland, Ohio; and the bride’s brother, Christopher Armstrong of Washington D.C. The ring bearer was Cole Hixson of Chattanooga, the groom’s nephew.
Following the ceremony, a dinner and dance reception was held at The Chattanoogan in Chattanooga.
Mr. and Mrs. Hixson took a wedding trip to the Dominican Republic and now reside in Chattanooga.
