Mr. Clifford “Cliff” Preston Sheffield, Jr., 71, of Fayetteville, passed away on June 9, 2010.
Mr. Sheffield is preceded in death by his brother, Gerald Sheffield.
He is survived by his wife of 29 years, Dean (Edmondson) Sheffield; daughters, Brenda Jennings and her husband Jim, Phyllis Abbott and her husband Steve, Kelly Krekemeyer, Kathy Sheffield, and Karen Sheffield and her husband Bobby; son, Timothy Sheffield and his wife Paulette; fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 11, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Overton Chapel, with Reverend Glenn Stringham officiating. Mr. Sheffield will lie in state at 10:30 AM at the church. Burial will follow at Eton Cemetery in Eton, Georgia at 3:30 PM.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, June 10 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville .
