Where should Peachtree City spend (or not) your tax dollars next year? There will be a Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, June 10, 6:30 p.m., at City Hall for residents to ask questions and provide input as Council and staff put together the FY 2011 budget.

The meeting will be streamed via the City web site, and those who cannot attend can also submit questions in advance via an online form. Review the budget information, last week’s budget workshops, or submit a question for Thursday at www.peachtree-city.org/index.aspx?NID=848 (those who attend do not have to submit questions before the meeting).

There will also be another budget workshop next week on Tuesday, June 15, 6:30 p.m., at City Hall.

Upcoming events
There are lots of activities this coming weekend, including the Peachtree City Youth Triathlon, the Coweta Fayette Rotary Car & Motorcycle Show at Drake Field (free), and the free Flicks @ the Fred: Shrek the Third on Saturday. Time and location information is available at www.peachtree-city.org/events.

Confession
On a personal note, I took the Police Department’s new online Golf Cart Safety quiz at www.peachtree-city.org/golfcartsafety last week and got one WRONG! Fortunately (I guess), it had to do with how to test the brakes on a cart, versus the rules for cart and path use and registration (which, as City Clerk, I really should know by now).

Have a great weekend.
Betsy
