In an effort to train parents and children for CPR at the start of the swimming pool season, a CPR class is being offered Saturday at Booth Middle School from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The class was arranged by the Best family, whose two girls were saved by adults who used CPR and rescue breathing after they were found unconscious at the bottom of a Peachtree City family’s pool several weeks ago during a birthday pool party.

Kinsley, 3, and Reagan Best, 5, were saved thanks to Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation adminstered by adults Kathleen Mason and Will Bernardi.

Thankful for their intervention, the girls’ father Doug Best has arranged for the CPR class Saturday. The cost is $35 and will be taught by the Boy Scouts of America, which is an authorized provider for the American Red Cross.

Participants may pay in cash or by credit card, organizers said.
