Mikell Dewitt Carter, 61, of Fayette County, died May 5, 2010.
He was a member of the Bolton Masonic Lodge #416 and Fayetteville Masonic Lodge #711.
He is survived by his wife Velma Penn Carter; daughters Kristie Strickland and her husband Mike Strickland of Fayetteville, and Angela Hopkins and her husband Mark Hopkins of Senoia; his son Mikell Dewitt Carter Jr. and his wife Samantha Carter of Hampton; 3 grandchildren Kiley Johnson-Carter, Chase Hopkins and Brianna McElwaney-Carter; mother Janice Mikell Carter of Tampa, Fla.; sister Charlotte Dixon and brother Donald Carter of Tampa, Fla.; 9 neices; 3 nephews; 11 great-neices; 6 great-nephews.
In lieu of flowers please make contributions to the “Mike Carter Memorial Fund” in c/o Angela Hopkins at Sun Trust Bank on City Circle in Peachtree City.
Memorial to be held at Peachtree City Christian Church, 500 Kedron Dr., Peachtree City, Ga. 30269 on May 15, 2010 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm.
