Southern Country Gospel Singing at Grantville’s renovated Railroad Freight Depot for 2010 has returned to two Sings on each month — the fourth Friday and Saturday nights.

On Friday night, April 23, all three of the groups hail from Columbus, Ga. — Crystal River, Carolyn Wiggins, and One Accord.

On Saturday night, April 24, there will also be three groups in concert, Young Spirit from Manchester, the Carter Family from LaGrange, and the Morris Family from Eufaula, Ala.

Each night the concert begins at 7 p.m. and lasts approximately three hours. Everyone is invited, there is no admission charge, there will be refreshments available, and, as usual, there will be an informal, picnic-like atmosphere, with an appropriate ambience — the Main Street of a small rural Southern town and a shaded park.

These Sings are organized by Roy Smith, who can be reached at [email protected] or 770-583-3977.
