Martz is new senior warden at Church of the Nativity

Anne Martz is the new senior warden of the Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Fayetteville. She succeeds Debbie Johnson.

Martz was appointed to the post by the the Rev. Rita Henault, rector, after the recent parish annual meeting. Fred Lusk continues as junior warden.

Senior and junior warden are the top leadership positions held by lay persons in an Episcopal parish.

New members of the vestry, the parish governing board, elected at the annual meeting are Pat Hamilton and Ann Thomas. At its most recent meeting, the vestry named Leon Walker to fill out the unexpired term of a vestry person who is moving out of town.

Continuing on the vestry are Martz, Lusk, Frank McKenzie, Scott Morrell and Bob Page, who is also the parish treasurer.
