Konos Juniors present ‘Pirates of Penzance, Jr’ this Friday in Fayetteville

Konos Juniors will present “Pirates of Penzance, Jr.” Friday, Mar. 12, at 5 and 7:30 p.m. at Heritage Reformed Baptist Church next to Cleveland Elementary School on Lester Road in Fayetteville. This famous farce is one of the most popular operetta’s by Gilbert and Sullivan. The junior version is especially designed for young audiences.

Savannah Lee plays the lovely Mabel who devotes herself to rescuing Ferderick, played by Jake Weisler, from a life of Piracy. The Pirate King, Henry Bentley, and Ruth, Maggie Spears, concoct a scheme to keep Frederick a pirate forever. A police crew, led by James Pollard, and a Major General, Samuel Dunklin, try to find a way to thwart the pirates and find a happy ending.
