Students in Fayette County’s After School Program (ASP) have completed an annual project for Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Over 1,300 white lunch bags were decorated with cheerful greetings by the kids in the Fayette County ASP (After School Program) in this 7th annual event. The kids spend many hours writing cheerful get well messages and drawing pictures of rainbow and sunshine.

Then they carefully stuffed them with kids meal toys donated by the fast food restaurants throughout Fayette County, and crayons and coloring pages. From left are Taylor Winfrey, Abigail Marin, Maricruz Fambro, CassiDee Rotolo, Lakyla Thomas and Brooke Laudicina. Not pictured are Alyssa Ginn and Bailey Laudicina. Each year, the items are well received by the admissions in the Facial and Cranial Clinic. The Fayette County After School Program Director, Julia Simpson, and her coordinators have embraced this project, which could not have done it without their help. Coordinating the project was Janis Kraft, who is with Coldwell Banker Bullard Realty’s Peachtree City/Fayette County office. Kraft said she started the project years ago with her daughter’s Girl Scout group, and it just grew from there.
