Frances M. Balmes

Frances M. Balmes, 91, Fayetteville, died Dec. 8, 2009. He was preceded in death by a son, Kevin James Balmes, brothers, John Balmes, Fred Balmes, and Richard Balmes, and a sister, Agnes Walenter. He was a veteran of World War II. A funeral mass was held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Gurnee, Ill. Interment was at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, Ill. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Mary O. Balmes, Fayetteville; sons, Kenneth and Virginia Balmes, Island Lake, Ill, and Jody and Debbie Balmes, Libertyville, Ill.; daughters, Connie Balmes, Atlanta, and Celeste Balms, Fayetteville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers; and two sisters. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
