A memorial service for former Peachtree City Mayor Ralph Jones will be Saturday, Dec. 5 at 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City.
Jones, who served as the city’s second mayor from 1966-1969, died Nov. 24. Under his leadership, the city started its fire and police departments and also a Little League baseball program.

Jones was a charter member of the church and a founding member of the Peachtree City Rotary Club.
The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the service. The family asks in lieu of flowers that contributions be made to the church or the Peachtree City Fire Department.
