Three open positions on Public Facilities Authority

The Fayette County Board of Commissioners has announced that three positions on the Public Facilities Authority will be available in the coming weeks. The terms for each position begin July 24, 2015 and will expire July 23, 2016.

The Fayette County Public Facilities Authority is a volunteer body made up of three individuals who are appointed to the Fayette County Board of Commissioners to one-year terms. Some of the duties of the Public Facilities Authority include, but are not limited to, the acquisitions, construction, equipping, maintaining, and operating of buildings and their facilities, and to sell or lease any or all such properties. (A full description of the duties and responsibilities of the Public Facilities Authority can be provided by the County Clerk upon request.)

The Public Facilities Authority meets infrequently on an as-needed basis, approximately once a year, at the Fayette County Administrative Complex, 140 Stonewall Avenue West, Suite 100 in Fayetteville.

The Board of Commissioners will be accepting applications with resumes for these positions. Applications can be obtained by contacting Floyd Jones at 770-305-5102 or at fjones@fayettecountyga.gov. All applications must be returned to Floyd Jones either by e-mail or at the Fayette County Administrative Complex by Friday, July 17.
