Robber hits F'ville convenience store Tuesday night

Fayetteville police are investigating the Tuesday night robbery of the Flash Foods store on Ga. Highway 54 West. The suspect described in the robbery was very similar in appearance to the suspect who held up two Peachtree City convenience stores over the weekend.

Det. Melissa Peacock said the robbery occurred at approximately 11:20 p.m. Tuesday when a white male entered the Flash Foods store and, without displaying a weapon, demanded that the clerk give him money from the cash register. Once he received the money, the man told the clerk to go stand by the coffee pot, Peacock said. The man then left the store, Peacock added.

Peacock said a Fayetteville officer was in the vicinity and responded to the store within 20 seconds of being dispatched to the location, noting that the man had already left the scene.

The suspect was described as a white male in his late 20s or early 30s with light, scruffy facial hair, approximately 6 feet in height and weighing 200-230 pounds. He was wearing a dark blue long-sleeve shirt and jeans and wearing a white baseball cap with red lettering.

Anyone with information pertaining to this crime is asked to contact Det. Peacock at 770-461-4441.

Do any of these stores have in-store or parking lot surveilance cameras? If not, the time has arrived.

Yeah they do, and you can see yourself on the inside of the store on one of the mounted monitors even. That is what makes these kind of hold-ups even worse......the perps know full-well they are being recorded.

If they have pictures and at the same time are asking the public for help, why are they not publishing the photos?

Get a picture of their face instead of the top of their BB hat. Mike has bagged at least 4 this way. Good job!

And the camera outside where you get a photo of the perps leaving. Might get their car tag as well. These thugs can be defeated by technology and common sense.

Simple common sense.

Did any of the two in PTC or the new robbery in Fayetteville have any security video? Would figure all would have had something

So where is the reporting on subj which occurred night of Jun 24 at St Johns Crossing BP Convenience Store on Hwy 85S?

Is that outside of Fayetteville limits? Is that the FCSO jurisdiction?

Answer is "YES" to both questions. Good video--word is that same person has been involved in 5 robberies.
